Student Growth Groups Pt. 4

My mission in life is to facilitate people into thriving community. I have the opportunity to serve over 20+ Growth Groups that are all beginning this week! Over the span of the next couple days, I get to visit many of them, here is story of the one I attended last night...

I'm late to the group and feeling exhausted. Working 10 hours before finally arriving at the 6th grade boys growth group was quite a lot to handle. Yet, when I got there, I was pleasantly uplifted by the positivity in the room.

6th grade boys are not quite hitting puberty yet but are old enough to be able to hold a conversation. It's a sweet time in a child's life as they have no reserves of who they are and don't mind sharing how they feel. Many 6th graders seems to not have a care in the world, almost as if they are not weighted down by anything. Of course there are many exceptions, but to have nothing holding you back must be a great feeling, especially in social situations.

Of course, in the midst of this, let me remind myself that we don't have to be held back. This, is a wonderful and liberating thought.

What are you held back by this morning?
