Be a Digger

Have you ever had an extreme reaction to what others may seem as a small thing? I definitely have. So what do we do in moments of confusion? We tend to ask questions like, why am I acting like this or why can't I get over this? Extreme reactions can occur based off of an event, anxiety can ensue or depression.

So what is my solution? Digging.

We have to be diggers. Life is not easy, actually, many times it's extremely hard. In the moments of personal suffering, it is important to attempt to get to the bottom of the pain. It might take a day, or it might take a week. The most self aware people are those who can recognize a problem and go through the excruciating work to find the root of it.

Journaling and praying have been my own self defense against submitting under the circumstance. Actually, for a week straight, I went back to my journal and simply wrote everything I could about the situation. After I did this, I went for a walk and prayed, working through my own thought processes. It's refreshing to actively work on an inwardly issue.

Beginning this dig will take perseverance, grit, and tenacity. Once we are able to get to the root of the issue, we are able to address it, but it's going to take your hands getting dirty.
